About The Event
The festivities of the weekend kick-off on Thursday, June 20th with a free concert by the BBC Band. On Friday, Brethren from around the state convene at the Masonic Care Community and there is a barbecue that evening. On Saturday the officers of Grand Lodge and the various appendant and concordant bodies form a parade and process into the chapel where the Grand Master delivers his Message to the Craft and the District Deputy Grand Masters, Grand Lodge Staff Officers and Assistant Grand Lecturers receive their commissions. Later, on Saturday evening, the Brethren of the First Manhattan District will convene their traditional St. John’s Weekend dinner at the beautiful and historic Sadaquada Country Club (see below for details)
Headquarters for the First Manhattan District will be the Delta Hotel Utica, where we have a group rate and a hospitality room.

Rate: $140 plus tax for a King Room or Double Room
Note that this group rate is for First Manhattan Masons and their families, and that reservations must be made on or before June 7 to qualify for the group rate.
There is a well-stocked cash bar at ridiculously low club-member prices, a delicious menu and a convivial setting. We have the entire grounds to ourselves for the event, and it’s a wonderful time enjoying cigars and port on the porch following the dinner.
